Paul Dewar has been flying UAVs since the late 90s when he first strapped a camera under a remotely controlled helicopter. Since then Paul has founded Drone Pilots, a UAV-focused consultancy and is also the chief pilot for Aquilla Aero, an Australian-based manufacturer of large fixed-wing composite UAVs. Two of Australia's premeire agricultural drone service providers, Stratus Imaging & Stevtech have partnered to `advanced crop management using Taranis Ag's AI-powered high resolution crop management system. While traditional multispectral images have served the industry well, Taranis ag has implemented a game changing system to increase ground resolution to 0.03m to facilitate insect identification, plant disease, and initial emergence of new crop growth. All while rapidly increasing the acquisition time.

Soar is joined by Tayo Akiwumi of Spacevee, specialists at improving image visualisation issues caused by smoke, haze, and airborne particulates. Tayo has a compelling story, how his love of the earth's history and deep desire to utilise remote sensing technology for identifying possible archaeological sites has led to the development of new technology to improve image visualisation and utilisation through haze removal, limiting the effects of smoke and pollution on satellite images, and for textural improvement in featureless images.
